Brenden: I can't take it anymore. I can't wait any longer.
(Gets up from the table and grabs a weird Asian snack from the cupboard that we've had since before we got married)
Me: I didn't know you wanted to eat that. Ever.
Brenden: I always want to eat everything.
(Trying to reassure me about my exam tomorrow that I haven't studied for)
Brenden: Maybe you will have a dream tonight that will teach you everything you need to know for the test. You will wake up in the morning, "Oh that was a weird dream. Now I don't need to study."
(Talking to me about how long it's taken me to do my homework)
Brenden: Homework does take a long time when you have to do the imaginary problems too.
(Fighting over whose music we get to listen to)
Brenden: My music makes me smart. (pause) That was rude. I'm sorry.
